This is a wonderful example of the Sanford, NC, A.V. Smith's work from circa 2000. Lots of neat aspects including the double row of teeth. The green apple glaze, including a red & yellow, he had to stop employing because they were banned due to lead content. Obviously one doesn't eat from this, but only a red equivalent was ever discovered by the NC potters to match the old red. He is retired, endeavored now on another career path. Length is 13.5: by 7". Signed on the base.
