Description
Here is something you don’t see often, a pristine condition 1974 Fender Stratocaster. SERIAL NUMBER: 578454. COLOR: Three Tone Sunburst Finish. WEIGHT: 7lbs 10.8ozs (3kg/480g). Guitar is 100% original. By the looks of this one it has been in a controlled environment it’s entire life. There is no body or neck checking and looks like it has been played very little. Other than a few tiny marks and a nice scratch next to the pickguard this body is in superb condition. All chrome hardware is still shiny, screws have a nice patina to them. The pickups have all good readings, neck is 5.16k, middle is 5.62 and bridge 5.04k. Three-way 1452 original CRL switch. Pots are stamped 1377430 denoting the CTS Co. dated the 30th week of 1974. Plastic hardware has aged nicely. The 3-ply white pickguard and tremolo plate has not tinted yellow yet, but the knobs have. The neck looks like it has only been played very little. Fender F tuners are still gleaming on the back of the headstock while showing some beautiful patina on the front of the headstock with the string trees. There are a few minor marks on the back of the headstock. Neck is straight, has a 7.25 radius, nice medium C profile. Frets look like they have never been used. Neck has a stamp of 090336? (Last two digits are not legible). Stamped in black at the but is the name ARMENTA. The action on this neck is incredible, smooth as buttah. This Strat wants to find a good home and would be a great addition to anyones collection. This guitar comes with its original case in exceptional vintage condition with gorgeous plush red interior, tremolo arm and ashtray bridge cover.
