BRASS AND STEEL FIGURAL SEWING BIRD CLAMPS, LOT OF THREE, each with a pincushion to the top of bird with a velvet covering, comprising a silver-plated and a brass patented Charles Waterman examples, each embossed on edge of wing "PATENTED" and "FEB 15 1853" with floral decoration to clamp, one example with an additional pincushion to the top corner of the clamp, and remaining example unmarked with unpatterned underside having white and green enamel decoration, top with traces of enamel paint, unpatterned clamp, pincushion top together by association. Each retains collection number sticker and detailed collection card. Third quarter 19th century. 4 1/2" to 5 1/8" HOA.

Condition
Very good overall condition, expected wear; brass example with a glue attached pincushion; painted example with loose tension to spring, and losses to decoration.
