ASSORTED ENGLISH SILVER SEWING THIMBLES, LOT OF FOUR, comprising a sterling commemorative thimble for Queen Elizabeth's coronation by Henry Griffith & Sons Ltd. of Birmingham with 1952 date mark, a sterling thimble with a cable design by Chester maker, possibly Charles Horner, with a partially worn date mark, and two unmarked silver thimbles with cable design including one "Atlantic Cable". Two with maker's marks and three or four hallmarks including a lion passant for sterling fineness, a city mark, and a date mark, other two unmarked with unknown silver/metal content. Each retains collection number sticker and detailed collection card. Late 19th/20th century. 7/8" to 1" HOA.
