ASSORTED ARCHAEOLOGICAL BRASS / BRONZE SEWING THIMBLES, LOT OF NINE, comprising an acorn shape "mud" thimble with tonsure top recovered from the mudbanks of the River Thames in London, three recovered from river near Canterbury, a large Nuremberg type, two sewing rings, one with maker's mark, and two George II era. Each retains collection number sticker and detailed collection card. Probably Germany. 14th to 18th centuries. Various sizes.
Provenance: The Mildred Jarvis Collection, Kennesaw, GA.
