Description
Magna Graecia, South Italic Colonies, Campania, ca. 360 to 325 BCE. An uncomplicated yet attractive wheel-thrown blackware pottery dish with a short circular footed base, a wide and shallow basin, and a lipped rim. The black-glazed surface is highly reflective as a result of aging for almost 2400 years. Size: 6.875" W x 1.5" H (17.5 cm x 3.8 cm).

Minor nicks to rim, basin, and foot, with fading to some black-glazed surfaces, and light encrustations, otherwise intact and very good. Light earthen deposits and nice root marks throughout.
