Description
a very important pie safe discovered in the eastern part of North Carolina. Naïve punched tins with the initials JJ on each front tin. Side tins of a different geometric design. Each front tin has applied molding forming a folky picture frame around each tin. Surface is 100% original and no alterrations to any part of this piece. the right side top tin has ware at the bottom as seen in the photos. ca. 1880 - 1890 an extreme rare example of a southern African American safe. 46"W across topx 65"H x 18"D
