Native American, Midwestern United States, Missouri, Archaic period, ca. 8000 to 3000 BCE. A wonderful collection of 3 spear tips, all hand-knapped from flint to exhibit long, inward recurvate blades. Boasting mottled hues of ash gray, cream, and chocolate brown, the largest point was found in Clark County, Michigan, and presents a slightly convex base, a flared stem, and a barbed shoulder. Next, the mid-sized weapon was found in Meramec River in Robertsville, Missouri and is carved from gray flint to display a Dovetail or St. Charles form with a petite, expanding stem, a convex base, and deep, diagonal notches. Last but not least, the most petite spear tip is from Mineola, Missouri and features an ovoid body with a rounded base and no stem, all enveloped in natural hues of blush, apricot, and beige. Size of largest: 8.1" L x 1.8" W (20.6 cm x 4.6 cm)
