Description
The gilt patinated figure of a ballerina dressed in classical ballet attire. Shown wearing a silver patinated tutu and standing 'en-pointe' on a hexagonal molded base, signed in the mold Zach for Bruno Zach, raised overall upon a stepped columnar white onyx socle. Bruno Zach (1891-1945) Ukrainian / Viennese, studied at the Vienna Academy of Fine Arts, then later moved to Berlin which was to be a highly formative experience in developing his craft. It was there during the years between 1918-1935 that he executed many of his noted works. From the Jack Reingold Collection. In good overall condition.
