Description

Large hand carved primitive folk art ice fishing decoy in original paint, having 4 tin fins, tin tail and weighted lead added to underside of body, circa 1930-40. Note the unusual form to long thin carved body that retains its original mottled dark gray-green paint and lighter gray underbody. Measures 12"L. Some rust to the tin fins and tail, but overall good condition. Provenance: Private collector downsizing collection - decoys originally from the Great Lakes area.
