A Flemish close helmet, circa 1600 and later
The skull forged in one piece, with a narrow, roped comb. Old repairs in copper solder on the front section of the comb. The iron plume socket riveted at the nape. The two-part, pivoted visor fitted with a single sight slit. An S-shaped breathing perforation on each side. The pivoted bevor with two hook-and-eye closures at the side. Riveted collar plates with a turned edge. Height 30 cm.
Composite historicism helmet. The skull original, the visor and gorget probably of later date.
