Here is the last of our 1979 Fender 25th Anniversary Silver Stratocasters. SERIAL NUMBER: 254435. COLOR: Silver Anniversary Finish. WEIGHT: 9lbs 8.6 ozs (4kg/330g). This wonderful guitar has it’s wear and tear but functions and plays great. Guitar appears to be 100% original. Has dings, dents, scrapes, chips on both the body and neck. Definitely a players guitar. This guitar has not been laid in 25 years because it’s been kept in the collectors closet for that long. Over time the silver finish has turned into a more silver greenish tint, looks very cool. Underneath the pickguard is a Fender serial number sticker that corresponds to the serial number on the neck plate, 254435. Two of the three pot codes are stamped 1377901 denoting the CTS Co. dated the 1st week of 1979. The third pot is unreadable due to solder but we’re confident it is matching. The neck pickup is stamped 193879 and has a reading of 5.66k, middle pickup is stamped 183879 and has a reading of 5.38k, while the bridge pickup is stamped 18??79 and has a reading of 5.55k. CRL 5-way switch. All chrome hardware and screws have a nice light patina to them. The neck has a radius of 7.25, C shape profile and is very straight. There is some fretware, but the frets have a good amount of life left. Stamped at the butt is the name G. GARCIA and the numbers 09020601. This is a nice vintage Silver 25th Anniversary Strat hoping to find a good home. Included is in the original case in good vintage condition, ashtray bridge cover, tremolo arm, and polishing cloth.
