Description
A LOUIS XVI REVIVAL GILT AND CARVED WOOD DRESSING TABLE STOOL, FRENCH, LATE 19TH/EARLY 20TH CENTURY, with a low back and recessed panel crestrail with foliate detailed corners, on a square form padded seat covered in a gilt tooled tan leather and trimmed in brass head nails, cornered by lined panel block capitals over acanthus leaf draped tapering fluted legs ending on similar black bases, raised on truncated lobe feet and joined by a shaped "X" form stretcher. Height: 21" Width: 18 1/2" Depth: 18"
Condition
Normal marks, scratches, chips, gilding wear, some brass nail heads lacking, old horse hair padding with spring coils, leather has spots, is dry, worn, and has build up throughout.
