A KPM HAND PAINTED "RAPHAEL'S CHERUBS" PORCELAIN PLAQUE, BERLIN, MARKED, LATE 19TH/EARLY 20TH CENTURY, of convex oval form and beautifully painted as two winged cherubs and the left one with loose wavy light brown hair gazing upwards with sweet sad hazel eyes, pink cheeks, rosy lips, and chin resting on his hand, the other with dirty blond wavy hair gazing gazing upwards with blue eyes and a slightly reserved knowing expression, same pink cheeks, rosy lips, and head resting on crossed arms, before a backdrop of realistically detailed clouds, verso impressed marks scepter, above slightly blue tinted "K.P.M," over four hand incised angled dashes, above an impressed stylized "K," height: 8 7/8", width: 6 5/8", with gilt frame height: 14 3/4", width: 16 1/2".
