Description
Two wrought iron firetools designed by Sir Edwin Landseer Lutyens and produced by the "Iron Monger to the King". These were acquired from an architectural salvage company that had the rights to remove most of the fireplaces and fittings at the British Embassy in Washington DC; One would assume that they ceased using the fireplaces and during a recent redecorating period removed mantels and firetools (such are these times). Unmarked. Each measures 44" long. CONDITION: Excellent and undamaged with surface wear consistent with age and use.
