Second Half 20th Century; Southwest United States
Large twined basket featuring four Gaan dancers encircling the body of the basket above a geometric band, and adorned at the sides and base with fringe and tin jingles
17" H x 20" Dia.; Overall height with fringe: 35"
Provenance: Acquired from Gilbert Ortega in the 1980s.

Condition
Overall good condition with dust accumulation and wear commensurate with age and use. A few scattered single stitch losses to exterior and to interior. A small area of surface soiling to one leather strip at side. A few minor tears to leather straps holding tassels, and to one section of headstrap. One side tassel lacking tin jingle.
