EARL LEITER (active in the 1920s) | Margaret Bourke-White, Ohio 1927 | Vintage silver print, double-weight matte paper, in excellent condition 15,2 x 11,4 cm PROVENANCE Rachel Davis Fine Arts, Ohio Rare portrait of the important photographer shortly after completing her education, in the year she opened her first studio in Ohio. In contrast to later portraits, which show her mostly with wavy hair and were widespread after her success as a war reporter, she wore a straight bob at the beginning of her career. Seltenes Porträt der bedeutenden Fotografin kurz nach Abschluss ihrer Ausbildung, im Jahr der Eröffnung ihres ersten Studios in Ohio. Im Unterschied zu den später verbreiteten Porträts, die sie nach ihren Erfolgen als Kriegsreporterin meist mit gewelltem Haar zeigen, trug sie am Beginn ihrer Karriere einen glatten Bubikopf.
