[THE BEATLES]. Letter on Atlantic Hotel Stationery Signed by All Four Beatles and British Comedian Nat Jackley. Newquay, Cornwall, UK: September 1967. Letter with Atlantic Hotel in Newquay, Cornwall, UK letterhead confirming reservation for Louise George for the dates of 9-14 September 1967. 8 x 10”. Old folds, creases. SIGNED ON VERSO BY JOHN LENNON, PAUL MCCARTNEY, GEORGE HARRISON, AND RINGO STARR, AND INSCRIBED BY BRITISH COMIC NAT JACKLEY. Beatlemania came roaring to the Atlantic Hotel in September 1967 as the most famous rock group in the world spent three days in Newquay filming scenes for their 1967 film Magical Mystery Tour. Perhaps one of the most famous scenes in the film is of Nat Jackley as “Happy Nat the Rubber Man” chasing a bikini-clad woman around the Atlantic Hotel’s swimming pool - a sequence which was directed by John Lennon. Previously sold at Phillips Auction House, 1990. Provenance: The Bo Overlock Collection.
