A lot of sterling silver items including George IV silver tongs, William Chawner II, London, 1821; 19th century Gorham tongs in the Cluny pattern; a 1927 Gorham child's cup; a Towle footed bowl; a Dunkirk bowl with gadrooned edge; a Wallace weighted bud vase and an unmarked, reticulated, weighted compote.
Dimensions are: the Chawner tongs measure 5 1/2 inches long, 13.97 cm; the Gorham tongs measure 5 1/4 inches long, 13.33 cm; the child's cup measures 2 1/4 inches tall X 3 1/2 inches wide, 5.715 cm X 8.89 cm; the Towle measures 3 1/4 inches tall X 5 inches wide, 8.25 cm X 12.7 cm; the Dunkirk measures 1 1/2 inches X 5 1/2 inches wide, 3.81 cm X 13.97 cm; the bud vase measures 6 inches tall X 1 1/2 inches wide, 15.24 cm X 3.81 cm; the compote measures 6 inches tall X 6 inches wide, 15.24 cm X 15.24 cm. All measurements are approximate.
Condition: The child's cup has several large dents to the bottom and lower half. The compote has several minor dents in the upper body. All items have scratches to the surface, age and use wear.
