With double fore-edge painting of a water-side church, with a woman's portrait in a vignette. Ink book prize inscription dated 1843 on front free endpaper and bookplate of Emma Stalker on front pastedown.

Condition

Slight soiling and wear to cloth; hinges starting, foxing to preliminary and ad leaves; very good.
