The vase with a circular section with maximum diameter width near the shoulder which supports a short cylindrical neck with the mouth underlined by a border, the inlaid decoration of white and brown slip on the céladon glaze consisting of cranes flying amidst clouds, some inside circular medallions.33 x 18 cmProvenance: Italian private collection, acquired in Korea in the 1960s.A similar vase is the Kansong Art Museum in Seoul (see The Radiance of Jade and the Clarity of Water. Korean Ceramics from the Ataka Collection, exhibition catalogue (Chicago-San Francisco New York), New York 1991, p. 32, fig. 10).
