A Chinese blue and white plate with a 6-character Daoguang mark and of the period. The interior features a dragon roundel and band of 2 dragons chasing a flaming pearl.

Dimensions are: 1 1/2 inches tall X 10 inches wide, 3.8 cm X 25.4 cm. All measurements are approximate.

Condition: Area of chipping to the rim, one hairline to the rim.

此件作品内外皆以青花为地，以留白之法绘云龙戏珠纹。盘心正中所绘苍龙双目圆睁，须发横飞，五爪如轮，肢体矫健，遒劲有力，周身犹如腾云驾雾，威仪不凡。盘壁内外侧各绘有一组双龙戏珠纹。整盘共绘有五条苍龙，生动威猛，呼之欲出。圈足规整，典型的泥鳅背，盘底写有“大清道光年制”青花篆书款，官窑气息浓烈。青花鲜艳，釉质如玉，胎骨洁白细腻。此式器皿为清代官窑经典品类之一，自康熙起流行于各朝之中，宫中必备。道光官窑有不少是仿康熙、乾隆朝风格的作品，此盘就是其中一例。本件器物保存完整，从形制胎体、纹饰等综合来看，可谓是道光官窑器中的精品。故宫博物院有件“道光款蓝地黄彩云龙纹盘”与本件作品相似度极高，可作参考。
