Description

American (New England), second-quarter 18th Century. The five graduated arched curved ladders flanked by turned ring stiles topped with finials, applied with cylindrical turned arms above a trapezoidal rush seat joined by turned ring front leg arm supports joined by sausage turned front and side stretchers. Beautiful patina. 48"h. 25"w. 19.5"d.

Condition

Restorations, all four legs extended. Rush seat appears to be 19th Century.
