Description
PENNSYLVANIA LADDERBACK ARMCHAIR, maple and ash, the back set with four arch-top slates supported on sausage-turned posts topped with mushroom-style finials, the shaped arms resting on baluster-form supports transitioning to turned legs, joined with box stretchers. Later woven-splint seat. Retains an old refinished surface. Late 18th/first quarter 19th century. 41" HOA, 17" H seat.
