A QINGBAI GLAZED CERAMIC BURIAL VASE WITH DAOIST DECORATION, SONG DYNASTY
China, Song dynasty (969-1279). The vase consisting of an oval belly, a long cylindrical neck decorated in the applique technique with twelve standing figures, birds, a dragon wrapping around the neck, and the moon. The lid with three rows of s-shaped applications, surmounted by a phoenix. Overall covered in a bluish glaze, stopping above the bottom rim, revealing the buff ware.
