A LARGE LONGQUAN CELADON CHARGER, MING DYNASTY
China, Ming dynasty (1368-1644). Thickly potted, the sides with a raised edge to the rim, recessed ribs on the interior, a central medallion with a peony, the exterior with a smooth finish, overall covered in an olive-green glaze except a cinnamon-burnt firing ring within the recessed base.
Provenance: Slovakian private collection.
Condition: Very good condition, glaze flakes, and manufacturing irregularities.
