Ming Dynasty Chinese Celadon Charger:
A fine large Chinese Ming pie crust rim charger. Carved in the center with geometrical grid diaper motif, and the ribbed sides incised in floral patterns. Glazed in light celadon-green glaze designed to pool in the depressions to accentuate the decorations. The bottom rim is also incised in a floral pattern and celadon glazed while the bottom is left unglazed, revealing the terra cotta colored clay body.
