A PAIR OF BLUE 'AUSPICIOUS FLOWERS' SILK SLEEVE BANDS, LATE QING DYNASTY
China, Qing dynasty (1644-1912), 19th century. Finely executed in Beijing knot and with gold threads on blue silk ground, decorated with Chinese proverbs for luck and peace, surrounded by peonies, grapes and prunus flowers growing from ornate vases.
Provenance: Austrian private collection.
Condition: Very good condition, minor wear, staining, and loose threads.
Dimensions: Size ca. 87.5 x 14 cm (each)
