Provenance: Baidun Galleries, Israel, 2015; Export permit from the Israel Antiquities Authority no. 527697 dated 04/01/2015; Exhibited: Ifergan Collection, Malaga (2018-2020).
Measurements: 25 x 15.5 cm.
This masterful bronze sculpture represents a lion modelled in a majestic attitude, with a fierce expression on his face. He is crouching with his hind legs bent under his body and his front legs stretched forward. The head is proudly raised and the tail twists under the body and upwards (around the right rear hip). The face of the lion has large eyes and open jaws, showing its jaws and exposing a tube opening in the mouth. The mane covers the front of the elongated body. The features of the head and mane are incised.
