Description
Roman, Imperial Period, ca. 2nd to 4th century CE. A short, cast-bronze drinking cup with a flat base, thin walls, a deep interior cavity, and a thin rim. The upper shoulder area displays four concentric horizontal pinstripe lines which add to the aesthetic appeal, though they may have been included to mitigate any slippage and increase grip. Both interior and exterior are enveloped in light-green, dark-green, light-brown, and beige patina. Size: 3.25" H (8.3 cm).

Condition
Base has a hole with remnants of white putty around perimeter. Expected age-commensurate surface wear, small nicks around base and rim, otherwise very good. Heavy earthen deposits, some mineral deposits, and great patina throughout.
