Farrier interest - A George V sterling silver ‘Cooke’s Cup’ trophy cup, Sheffield 1924 by Hammond, Creake & Co

Formed as a horseshoe upon a pedestal circular base. Engraved with presentation inscription reading “Manchester Farriers Joint Education & Demonstration committee, Cookes Cup for Horse Shoeing” to the obverse “Presented by Wm Cooke & Co Ltd Sheffield, winners” then winners between 1925-27 each time to John Edwards of 18 Highfield Road, Seedley Manchester. Together with a cased medal Birmingham 1924 by James Fenton and Co, with the Cookes cup, presented to the same, Manchester 1925. (2)
