204 明 白玉母子鹿

白玉質，質地細膩，潔白潤澤，局部有雞骨白色鈣化及褐色沁，古韻悠然。鹿伏地仰首，圓眼，雙耳聳立，頭頂雙角後仰，口銜靈芝。頸部收縮，身軀修長飽滿，四肢收於腹下，臀部肥厚，短尾下垂。前方小鹿相依偎，小鹿仰首依靠母鹿，頭頂鹿角呈團狀，陰刻細線交錯形成格紋。母子鹿姿態親暱，充滿孺慕情懷。整體雕工細緻，刀法俐落純熟，形象寫實，雙鹿造形與神情皆表現栩栩如生，維妙維肖。
古人視鹿為仁獸，是伴隨明君、聖人出現之應兆。《瑞應圖》：「天鹿者，能壽之獸，五色光輝，王者孝道則至。」認為鹿為純善祿獸，且與祿諧音，寓意加官進祿、權力顯赫。而鹿與靈芝結合，則有祈福增壽祥瑞之意。玉器中鹿紋題材最早出現於商代，以後各代屢有發展變化，各具時代特徵。其造形豐富多彩，寓意吉祥，體現人們對美好生活的追求和嚮往。台北國立故宮博物院庋藏清〈玉鹿〉，與本品皆雕琢雙鹿口銜靈芝且相依偎造形；拍場相似之例可參見拍賣於香港佳士得2011年6月1日，編號3561，十八世紀〈白玉雕雙鹿〉，取雙鹿為主題，寓意美好。細觀本品，刀工圓渾勁健，形象生動，肌肉飽滿，風格寫實，充分展現玉鹿蘊存之剛勁與靈動之態，藝術效果極為精湛。
本件明〈白玉母子鹿〉，出自敏求精舍會員「世德堂」收藏，且曾展覽及出版於1983香港市政局主辦之「第八屆亞洲藝術節－中國玉雕」，來源清晰明確，甚為難得。「敏求精舍」創舍主席胡惠春引用《論語．述而篇》：「我非生而知之者，好古，敏以求之者也。」會員們追求閒情逸致的賞鑑情調。成立於1960年，創會會員共15位，發展至今，成員人數僅40餘位，可見入會資格嚴選精挑之程度。會員多為各界頂尖專業人士，收藏體系莫不博大專精，不但鑑定眼光精準、美感品味高尚，更重視歷史學術研究，影響文博界深遠。
