Description
Antique small serving plate with handles, white glaze with bright yellowish band and moriage gold flower decorations, by Noritake Porcelain Company, 1910s. Marked "Hand Painted, Nippon" and 'M' in wreath, the mark introduced in 1911 and used until 1921 ['Japan' substituted 'Nippon' in 1921]. 'M' in wreath stands for Morimura Brothers, the founders of Noritake Porcelain. [reference: Van Patten #47].
The platter is c. 7.1/4" [18.4cm] across, c.3/4" [1.9cm] deep; no chips, no cracks, no hairlines, no repairs, fine condition. See photos.
