FIRST EDITION. INSCRIBED BY THE ACTOR WHO PLAYED THE LEAD ROLE IN THE MOVIE: 'Earl J. Bernheimer, with my sincere good wishes, Victor McLaglen. 5-10-47.' Victor McLaglen (1886-1959) won the Academy Award for Best Actor for his portrayal of Gypo Nolan in the 1935 film adaption, directed by John Ford.
