A Roman silver and gold ring
Circa 2nd-3rd Century A.D.
The solid angular shouldered and ridged hoop, formed into a large oval bezel, engraved around the edge with strokes ending in volutes, a gold inlay within a collared surround set centrally, depicting Fortuna in relief, holding a cornucopia in her left arm and a large palm frond with her right, a groundline below, intaglio 1.5cm high; ring size F, 26.4g
