Description
Richly patinated pine chest with oak slats, black japanned metal binding, brass hardware and leather side handles. Locks marked with patent date July 1, 1873. Dimensions: H 28" x W 32.5" x D 21.5" Condition: Chest fully restored; brass and leather elements apparently replaced, metal refinished and all wood surfaces finished with a clear varnish. Interior compartments likely re-built or restored. Missing key. Some dings to binding and minor losses to japanning, spots of verdigris to brass.
