Description
Militaria: an early to mid 20thC cased Nepalese / East Asian knife, the 5" blade with single cutting edge, flat spine and triform tip, metal hilt. The fitted case with white metal panels decorated with crossed kukri blades, gamebird and scrolling floral motifs. 8 3/4" long. Reputed to have been former property of 2nd Lieutenant Geoffrey Wingyett Webber MBE TD KStJ, 4th Batallion 10th Gurkha Rifles, Burma & India 1944 WW2 / WWII / Second World War / World War 2. Later promoted to Colonel, Officer Commanding 5th Middlesex Regiment. Though no written provenance survives.
