America.- Pennsylvania.- Land warrant issued to the Holland Land Company, engraved document with manuscript insertions, on vellum, 3 blind-stamped paper seals, folds, some spotting and staining, 269 x 497mm., Lycoming County, PA, 29th January 1794.

⁂ Two thirds of the Phelps and Gorham purchase was bought by a group of 13 Dutch investors (names printed here), and was thereafter know as the Holland Purchase. One of the signatories to this document is Thomas McKean, who was a Founding Father, signatory to the Declaration of Independence and governor of Pennsylvania.
