The item up for bid is an elaborately custom framed "short lock" of Dean's hair, consisting of a few strands. The strands of hair offered in this auction have been displayed over a scan of the original lock, making it a substantial display. Framing options are: Gold Leaf, Silver Leaf, or, Silver and Black Laminate. Please let us know which frame you would like at checkout. Otherwise, we will assume the Gold Leaf Frame. Framed Dimensions: 22 ¼" X 19" and matted with a photo of James Dean, along with an excellent FACSIMILE signature in black ink and, a presentation plate inscribed with the following, "Actor James Dean had a short-lived but intense acting career that began in 1952 and ended tragically in his death in September 1955. After his death Dean became one of the most admired screen stars of all time and became an icon of American culture. AUTHENTIC STRANDS OF JAMES DEAN'S HAIR"
This magnificent item is guaranteed 100% authentic, and Complete Documentation will be provided to the purchaser. The Authentic lock of Dean's hair comes from the famous Sydney Guilaroff collection. Guilaroff was the head hairstylist at MGM from 1934 through 1984.
