Description
Late Qing Dynasty. Fine and unusual censer of circular form with a wide band of cloisonné decoration at the shoulder depicting white and green enamel flower heads on a cinnabar ground alternating with floral sprigs with blue flowers and green leaves above a band of impressed archaic design above a wide band of incised cloud bands. The censer is supported by the figures of three children with outstretched arms, each leaning back against the sensor. The censer is fitted with a circular lid and the finial on the lid is very unusual in that it depicts a seated child with a pair of cymbals with a smaller child to its left; one arm extended towards the seated child. SIZE: 8-3/4” h x 5-1/2” dia. Condition: CONDITION: Very good.
