STARK (1880-1972) Chief of Naval Operations, war-date signature as same; THOMAS C. HART (1877-1971) Commander of all Allied naval forces in the Far East. Signature on a card; and ALAN G. KIRK (1888-1963) Amphibious commander in the Mediterranean in 1942-43 (Allied invasion of Sicily and Italy), and senior U.S. naval commander during the D-Day landings of June 6, 1944. A.L.S., 1p. 8vo., New York, June 2, 1960, advising that he is pleased to learn of a man's collection and mentioning the 16th anniversary of D-Day. Four pieces, overall very good.
