A WELL PAINTED SATSUMA BOWL MEIJI ERA (1868-1912).
A well painted Satsuma small bowl. The interior central panel depicting children carrying flags
all surrounded by cartouches of people and flowers. Richly decorated in colored enamels and gilt.
The exterior depicting several circular panels of people in daily activities enclosed in a floral motif
also in rich colored enamels & gilt. Signed on the base in a gold cartouche. "SEKIRYUZAN"
Height 2 3/8 inches.
Diameter 4 1/4 inches.
