having a rounded ovoid bowl on a curved forward-tipped fiddle handle with pointed shoulders and engraved "Wheelwright". Marked "CLAYTON" to back for Richard Clayton of Cincinnati, OH (active 1834-1859). Total weight: 6.035 ozt. Mid 19th century. 13 1/4" LOA.

Condition
Very good overall condition with some wear, surface scratches, nicks, a few minor dents to bowl, sticker to front of handle.
