Condition
In fair to good decorative condition commensurate with age and use.
The case appeared to have been re-polished and with typical old minor repairs, crack and scratches and scuffs and with old slightly open joints and with a loose superstructure to the hood which have been repaired to the top with new wood and is now apparently missing brass finials. The door and lower panel to the trunk and the base well figured. The brass polished and with old tarnish and traced of old polish to the separate columns to the hood and the quarter columns to the trunk. The capitals and socles to the separate columns to the hood a little loose. The captials and scoles to the quarter columns to the trunk with some old splits. The dial perhaps later polished. The chapter ring in good condition, perhaps re-silvered or cleaned. The movement now dulled with some minor corrosion to the steel components. The escapement free moving. When the hands are turned the movement clicks at the hour but needs some attention as the hour hand moves also. Sold with pendulum and two lead weights but without a winding key/crank or case key.
