Condition
In fair decorative condition commensurate with age but requiring restoration including fixing the end of the bow which has become detached and removing old flaking lacquer and cleaning and re-waxing.
The figure with some wear to the extremities and now with very dulled and darkened patination and some traced of parcel gilding to the, base, hair and sash and drapery which are now only just visible.
The surface has what appears to be a coat of lacquer applied to its surface which is now cracking and flaking off in patches - presumably this may have been done as the figure was placed in a semi-shelter location - perhaps in an open porch r loggia.
One end of the scrolling bow has detached - presumably from a corroded pin and this was previously secured with old black adhesive tape - however we had this piece so it cold be restored.
The surface has typical old scratches and scuffs.
The base has old historic corrosion to the underside and the bolts with old dust and cobwebs - again suggesting it may have been placed in a sheltered porch or open structure attached to a house.
