Chinese Qing Dynasty Guangxu Yellow Glass Carved Thumb Ring On Lidded Box. Carved in round open lip, short cylindrical body, elegantly fit in ring holder and dome lid. The body carved with imperial five claws dragon careening through cumulus clouds above thrashing Li-shui waves. Peking glass originated in 18th century China during the rule of the Qing Dynasty. Historically, many pieces of Peking glass were made with yellow glass dubbed Imperial Yellow, due to the colors strong association with the Qing Imperial. It is outstanding in terms of artistic aesthetics and collection value.The Under Base Box bears a reign mark, a six under glazed red blue script characters reign mark. Made in The Years Guangxu Reign Period of The Great Qing Dynasty.
