Chinese Set Of Archer's Rings In Cinnabar Box :
Five archer's rings in various colors. One is agate, two are jade, one is painted Peking glass, and one lapis in a cinnabar box. The box is carved with three carp in waves. The side of the box is a border of waves. The inside of the lid is decorated with calligraphy accented in gold. The inner lid is wood incised with calligraphy on both sides. The box interior has five dowels to hold the rings. The lapis archer's ring has many pyrite inclusions. One jade ring is a very pale celadon, the other is white with inclusions of apple green. The agate ring shows attractive striations. The painted glass ring has four figures including one riding a fish and one riding a crane with incised blue characters on the sides.
