The canvas has a relatively older glue lining. There is frame abrasion along the edges. The varnish is slightly uneven. There is a visible line of repaint to the right of the sitter's head (approx. 10in) which seems to be a repaired tear. There is a 1in. area of infill on the sitter's left shoulder. Under UV lamp, there are small amounts of retouching to the sitter's forehead, cheek and chin and areas of the chest. The above mentioned repairs are visible with UV light. There is a repair to her left hand and small other minor scattered areas of retouching in areas.
