Pair of French Empire Style Carved Mahogany Fauteuils, 19th c., the canted peaked crest over an upholstered back flanked by curved dolphin arms, to a bowed seat, on tapered square saber legs, with tan brushed leather covering, H.- 37 in., W.- 24 in., D.- 24 in.

Condition consistent with age and use. Both chairs have area of wear to varnish. One chair with small chip to base of arm support behind the dolphin head. Same chair has a 2 ½ inch area of loss to veneer towards back of proper left side. Other chair with small area of veneer loss at top of lower rail at back of chair. Both with minor scattered areas of surface scratches consistent with normal wear and tear.
