Pair of Aesthetic Movement Faience Tile Pictures of Morning and Night, c. 1900, each large rectangular twenty-one tile picture of a red hair beauty in a hilly landscape; to left, the figure personifying "Morning" with her short red hair and red gauze tunic dress walking in a field of sunflowers, the magnificent horizon with dramatic rays of the rising sun; the long haired beauty "Night" dressed in a purple tunic holding a oil lamp, walking in a field of Icelandic poppies, enclosed by a border of pink flowering vine border against a moonlit blue horizon with purple clouds, framed, H.- 43 1/2 in., W.- 19 1/4 in.

There are a few small chips to edges of wood frames. There is a small amount of flaking to both pieces; especially near the feet and on the lamp of “Nights”. There are a few miniscule chips to edges of tiles. It is hard to see what is holding tiles down and no grout or binding between tiles is visible. They weigh approx. 30 pounds each.
